Shift = On Call AM but not called in!!
Weather = 70 degrees but too damn windy to enjoy it!!
Today I woke up irritated and stressed out over this lease fiasco and sort of annoyed in general with other things but a shower and cup of coffee made the day seem like I could face it. I got online and looked at rentals, talked to some leasing companies, and then got in my car so I could go property stalking and trespassing. This proved to be successful because I found two places in the same neighborhood I really like. Both are still in Destin proper and both are actually a lot closer to where we work. If the utilities arent too bad we may not need to sell one of Chads kindneys to afford it. I kid, I kid. Honestly though, I will be harassing these realtors until they give in and decide to let me hold one until we can move in mid march.
I stopped by the beach after a long talk with Lisa today. I called her back home so she could let me vent and piss and moan about life and I was happy to hear that they were doing well. I used to work indirectly for her spouse at my former job and Im happy that he was promoted yet again because he is such a good guy. Trust me when I say that place could use about 200 more just like him. Lisa was going to try to surprise me by coming down this weekend to see me since her little girls have an extra day off during the week and they are both two of Blakelys best friends from back home. If Vision airlines would start their Little Rock to Destin deal up again it would have been easily possible but, alas, flights are about 500 a pop at the moment so I told her to save that for the summer and come see us when it was warm and there was more to do. I really hope that they get to. I really miss her but her kids make me smile so much my cheeks hurt.
I tried to stop by the beach after my house stalking and trespassing adventure but that was shut down with a quickness. 30mph winds off the gulf and clouds rolling in make for a freezing cold beach experience. I wrapped my towel around me to stay warm in my Hog tank top and shorts and shot the video above. I would have given anything for a wet suit and a boogie board in that moment but I guess just wave watching will have to do. Not much else going on today but possibly more trespassing and thinking of stopping off to pick up fresh salmon for dinner at Blalocks fish market. I need the destress of today more than you know so here is hoping Im not arrested for lock- jimmying later on today. ( what?! i want to be able to see inside these over priced places without a pushy leasing agent standing over me asking me annoying questions ) Where is Jennifer Ring when I need her with her breaking and entering skills?? If I am arrested I promise to post the mug shot on my blog for all to enjoy. Hell, I might even smile in it.
